However, if every GP you know suddenly goes back to writing letters then it might be best to put the old Candy Crush down. If you’re in the market for a smartphone be sure to check our Best Smartphones of 2018. Not all smartphone are made equal in the radiation department. If you’re particularly health conscious and are wondering which smartphones produce more radiation than others, the analysts over at Statista have put together the top 10 smartphones that emit the most radiation in watts per kilogram. The German certification for environmental friendliness ‘Der Blaue Engel’ (Blue Angel) only awards certifications to phones that come in at under 0.6 watts per kilogram, and as you can see below, some of these phones are way over that.

The Chinese phones seem to be the worst offenders but you may be surprised to see Apple phones up there too. ONAUGUST 29 "THE BEST SAMSUNG GALAXY S9 SCREEN PROTECTORS" The Best Samsung Galaxy S9 Screen Protectors First on the list is Zagg’s Invisible Shield Glass Curve Elite protector. Yes, it’s a wordy title, but that’s hardly a shortcoming for all it achieves. It’s a tempered glass adhesive that has a shock absorbent layer. It’s, of course, scratch and fingerprint resistant too and is supposed to be Zagg’s strongest protector yet. It’s curved, like the Galaxy S9, to allow precise edge-to-edge coverage.

Besides these benefits, it preserves touch sensitivity and remains fully clear on application (so no annoying air bubbles). Zagg offers a limited lifetime warranty on this protector, so if it ever does get damaged you can get a replacement (provided you own the device). You can also find the S9 Plus version for £39.99 or US$49.99. ONAUGUST 23 "AMAZON SLASHES £120 OFF GALAXY S9: DUAL SIM AT £619, BEATS SINGLE SIM PRICE" Amazon Slashes £120 Off Galaxy S9: Dual SIM at £619, Beats Single SIM Price Amazon shaves a clean £120 off the Samsung Galaxy S9 as the e-commerce giant charges on with its August Bank Holiday Sale (see the best deals from the sale here).

For £619, you get the dual SIM model with 6GB RAM (exclusive to Amazon) and 64GB internal storage. The discount makes it cheaper than the single SIM model that’s on sale for £639. Get the Galaxy S9 for £619 here. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is the best phone on the market – flawed only by its price. The disheartening £739 RRP stopped us from crowning the S9 first place in our curated round up of the best smartphones of 2018 (the more affordable OnePlus 6 snatched that spot instead). But that doesn’t mean we aren’t fans of the Galaxy S9. The Galaxy S9 earned an impressive 4.5 stars out of 5 and the “Tech Advisor Recommended” badge – and for good reason.

The S9 features an Exynos 9810 octa-core chip that churns out powerful performance. All of this is hooded under an all glass body and a 5.8in curved glass screen. The screen is one of the best we’ve seen and brighter than the S8 too. Here are some of the best screen protectors for the S9. The glass body does make it slippery, but there are tonnes of cases available (see the best ones here), making grip a non-issue.

The S9 is equipped with a fingerprint and iris scanner as well, and an excellent 12Mp camera that can automatically switch apertures based on the shooting conditions, making it ideal for low light conditions. Other features include Super Slow Motion, AR Emojis and fast charging on a 3,000mAH battery (though this hasn’t been upgraded from the S8). The design is similar to the S8 with subtle improvements, such as smaller bezels above and below the screen. It’s also a bit shorter and heavier than its predecessors, though we didn’t think this made much of a difference.

The dual SIM model is exclusive to Amazon – and again it is SIM free. If you don’t have an existing contract, we’ve also gathered the best and cheapest SIM deals around. Get the Galaxy S9 for £619 here.
